GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR DUSTBOSS®
Dust Control Technology wants you to be prepared for the arrival of your DustBoss. This guide will help you get started as soon as your unit(s) arrives.
PLEASE KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND:
PLAN YOUR WATER SOURCE.
We provide a 1-1/2 inch female quick cam lock fitting for the DB-60. The DB-30 has a garden hose connection. Many areas are unique in their fittings, so please know what kind of fitting you will need to get if ours will not connect to your water source.
Think about what you will need based on whether you are using a hydrant, water truck, or non-potable water from a nearby water source.
PLAN YOUR ELECTRICAL SOURCE.
You will need to hire a local electrician who knows the codes in your area to wire your DustBoss30 or 60.
- » A 3-phase DB-60 requires a 60 kw gen set /480volt.
- » A 3-phase DB-30 requires a 15-20 kw gen set or 480v service.
- » A single phase DB-30 requires 220v service or a 40-50 kw gen set.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
It is not too soon to start thinking about the best place to set up your DustBoss. The direction and amount of wind on any given day can determine the effectiveness of the DustBoss.
CHOOSE A STORAGE SPACE.
Choose a place where you can store the pallet or crating that the DustBoss comes on or in. It makes transportation of rental units back to Dust Control Technology a lot easier.LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
The DustBoss can be operated below freezing temperatures, however, when not in use, the following steps need to be performed to avoid damage to your unit.- » Disconnect the black hose from misting ring and drain (Quick cam disconnect).
- » Release drain valve under the high pressure pump. Lever should be turned to vertical position to drain.
- » Protect your own hose from freezing as well.
