Preventing standing water and potential runoff were also important. |

Dallas Contracting was hired by a leading manufacturer of cement and chemical admixtures to demolish a large portion of their old cement production plant in West Virgina to make room for a large plant expansion. The task involved demolishing fourteen silos and several other miscellaneous buildings and structures. All structures had significant dust accumulation on the outside as well as many of the silos were half to three-quarters full of cement powder. |

ENTACT was retained as the supervising contractor during the cleanup of the Midvale Slag Superfund site, a 446-acre abandoned lead smeltering site. ENTACT Environmental Services realized the DustBoss® was able to solve dust problems that the use of several fire hoses could not. Since the DustBoss® system uses less water over the same area as a fire hose would, conserving water and preventing oversaturation of the demolition debris to be hauled away. A reduction in contaminated water that would have to be treated thereby resulted in a great savings on the cleanup project. |
